![]() What follows are a series of threats that get progressively more colourful and ferocious, making even Midna’s seem tame by comparison as the captain’s hands, steady in the face of his momentous task, set Four’s bones and stitch shut gaping wounds while the smithy whimpers and squirms before finally passing out altogether, head resting in Twilight’s lap. “That lily-livered suck-scum,” Warriors is growling the words out, voice rough and harsh and cold enough to make the rest of them shiver just a bit, but hands gentle as they move to Four’s own and start the process of trying to set the shattered wrists. He’s not sure how Wars and Wind keep their faces as straight as they do because he gags the second he sees it and has to turn away, looking over his shoulder in order to settle himself again. ![]() Four’s wrists are the worst off, which he only sees when he goes to hold the smithy’s hand and then sees how much blood and bone there is exposed. It looks like someone had strung up Four for target practice deep gashes he knows are knife wounds scattered across the younger hero’s body. The smithy winces even as he closes it again and he can’t help but pet the other’s hair once more, trying to offer any kind of comfort he can as their team medic finishes tending the worst of the smith’s injuries. “Still true,” the captain hisses as Four opens his mouth as though to say something. I’ve been searching everywhere, but there’s no sign of anything and Wars said not to make Four talk while he was in pain.” It would seem neither of the two knights had seen Ghirahim enter or exit, or even harm Four, and when he asks Wild, who is just now trailing back around towards them, face pinched in worry for the smithy, the champion only shakes his head. They’d arrived to find the man already busy at work and Wild keeping watch, scouting around the broken down temple as if in search of whatever it was that had harmed their brother. Warriors is still glowering as he binds Four’s wounds. The wolf hums back, a promise that it is coming. It would seem the captain knows the demon. The wolf rumbles in his mind.Ī growl is building in his chest from the thought of the creature harming other brothers, in the past or no. “No,” Wind’s pulling out bandages as he speaks. “Did they not show up to the muster point?” The captain’s winces as Four cries out, but doesn’t cease his work “Up topside,” Wind assures, already falling to Warriors side and taking the man’s bag, handing him items that Twilight isn’t sure of the use for but which Warriors quickly puts to use in treating Four’s injuries, “they’re going to find Time and Ravio.” ![]() He nods, and Four and Warriors both breathe a sigh of relief, even though the smithy’s quickly turns into a wince before he hisses, “where is he?” The captain’s hands pause for only a moment, brilliant blue fixing the rancher in place “You found him?” “I don’t have any more, I had to give Legend my last one.” He shakes his head, already moving to cradle Four’s head, brushing hair out of the hero’s face as Four winces up at him, not speaking but watching him closely. “A potion would be a huge help,” he grits. The captain’s scowl is harsh as he answers, voice clipped and hands continuing their work of trying to help the smallest hero as he’d been doing when Twilight and the sailor had arrived. “What can we do to help?” he asks their medic. The rancher’s feet carry him almost without thought to crouch at the younger hero’s side and catch a hand, gaze flickering up to Warriors even as Wind skids over next to him. Conscious, unlike Hyrule, but only barely and in extreme amounts of pain if Twilight is reading him right. Stats: Published: Updated: Words: 47343 Chapters: 13/?
